I had a touch of panic when I received a text from DHL that my PCB order from Elecrow would be delivered Tuesday, July 16th.  Tuesday July 16th, you see, is when I’m scheduled to be flooded.

The following is the river gauge closest to where I live.  Tuesday July 16th is when we’re scheduled for a flood event thanks to tropical storm Barry.

The even more disconcerting prediction is for the Comite river.  They’re predicting the river level to be higher than during the Louisiana flood of 2016 that dumped 7.1 trillion gallons of water or enough to fill Lake Pontchartrain about four times [source: Wikipedia]

As magical as the service from DHL is (and it really is), I doubt they’re willing to deliver my package via pirogue.  Don’t feel bad that you don’t know what a pirogue is, by the way.  It’s a small flat-bottomed boat associated particularly with the Cajuns of the Louisiana marsh [source: Wikipedia].

The only thing worse than reliving the 2016 flood is having to drive down to the DHL depot in Kenner (Kennah brah).  Thankfully, Barry does not seem to be living up to the weatherman’s conniptions.  So far it has been a slightly stiff breeze combined with a light drizzle.

All that to say this:  hopefully the latest revision of Vic’s Power and Serial Board (VPSB) will be here next week.  Can’t wait to see how many mistakes I made in this revision!
